mine has been stolen since 2016. i locked my credit, signed a document at the social security office stating that my number had been stolen and certain income associated with it was not mine, and also set up with my bank that when i call them, i have to say a password before they can do anything with my account. i have not come across any issues so far, but i stay vigilant.
