Ice Breaker RETURNING, New Armor Set & More! (Destiny 10th Anniversary Event) | Destiny 2

Along with the major blog posts we got detailing Bungie's plans for the next year of Destiny, we received another blog post detailing the small 10th anniversary event launching in Destiny 2 today. A lot of cool stuff in this such as a new armor set, a new Title and Seal to earn AND the upcoming return of Ice Breaker next episode.

When Xur sold the Ice Breaker in like month 7 or something - that was one of the greatest weeks in Destiny 1 history. I remember just sitting up and trying to do parts of Vault of Glass with randos. Loved it

Cheesing the Templar’s well in destiny 1 with everyone having ice breakers standing at the top was satisfying. Also being able to do nightfalls not having to run out to grab ammo. Anyone remembers the old nightfalls when you die your start over from the way beginning of the stage

All of the new armor is in game, currently scattered in various locations by the Ghost vendor. All 5 of them are in the old tower, just wander around and keep an eye out for "Cayde's Stache Nearby" indicators on the bottom left of your screen.
Edit:
1. One chest is located on a stack of boxes towards the back left of the tower.
2. One chest is located on the left wing of the tower on the first floor.
3. One chest is located on the right wing of the tower on the second floor.
4. Walk down like you're going to Micah and stop after you go down the stairs, turn around and the chest is where Eris Morn was in D1.
5. One chest is located in the Speaker's room against the right wall.

Ice Breaker was the first ever exotic to drop for me in D1 and it allowed me to solo cheese almost every nightfall in D1 so this is such a blast of nostalgia

ICE BREAKER YAY BABY!!! Ice Breaker was my first exotic to drop/decrypt within the first week, it was my go to gun before Gjallarhorn was even known.

Damm the thumbnail alone is making me want to come back to this game. Icebreaker was my first exotic ever and it drop from the secret chest in VOG. Fool me once shame on me 😅

What I'm most looking forward to is not the new addon, but the opportunity to replay the entire Destiny campaign from Destiny 1 to the Red War

The story you told of your first Nightfall hit close to home for me, my buddy and I cleared our first Nightfall in the exact same way, it was the same Strike too, except neither of us had Ice Breaker. I took on the Minotaur because I had the Comedian which could make quick work of it since it deals Void damage while my friend sat there shooting the boss repeatedly, popping ammo synthesis when need, longest Nightfall ever but we had a lot of fun lol. We both wanted Ice Breaker so badly and I will never forget when I got it first, out of a legendary engram no less just as I was telling my friend how crazy it would be if I got Ice Breaker from this engram after he made light of the fact that I got a measly legendary engram after doing I forget what, a heroic mission maybe? Oh good times.
