Hello Youtube! In this video, we will show you how to fix your high CPU usage problem (also known as the 100% CPU usage problem) on Windows 10 on your PC. Sometimes, your CPU usage may reach a peak of 99 percent or 98 percent or any high ninety-ish figure and this video will provide you with quick and easy solutions to solve this problem. In general, the CPU usage should never be more than reach 100 percent under normal circumstances and this can be dangerous for your pc. This problem may be caused by a virus but can also be caused because of various wrong windows settings. This should work on all windows: XP, Vista, 7, 8, 8.1, and obviously Windows 10. These are the quickest and simplest ways to solve this problem.

If this did not work, try resetting your Windows 10. Also, keep in mind that these are ALL the software side solutions to this problem. If they don't work, then it may be because of faulty hardware. We hope that this video helps you out.

Thanks so much for this video! My CPU usage went from being consistently 100% to an average of about less than half. STopping apps from the background made the most difference, but I still ran the scans from command prompt as well. nothing amiss was detected so I just did the last two command prompt settings. Wow what a difference!

6:55 Note that setting the ClearPageFileAtShutdown to 1 slows down your Starting Up, Shutdown, and Restarts
it does not damage your computer, it only clears the page files first before continuing the aforementioned
actions. You can just set it back to 0 again if you do not have time.

Quick Question: I came across your video because I thought that high cpu usage was causing my youtube videos to play with scratchy weird audio glitching. My pc is a music production workstation and all sounds from it and all the other media players like mp3 soungs play perfectly. And it doesn't matter the browser. The sound glitches were reproducible in Opera and Chrome consistently. I updated all drivers, uninstalled and reinstalled my graphics drivers, audio drivers, and everything that I could find related to audio in device manager. Nothing. My cpu is running so smoothly, my ram is healthy (I have 24GB) and I just can't seeem to figure out what is causing the glitchy audio playback on youtube!!! Any ideas?
