For Candlebearers and Candlebrutes, keeping lights on them for too long will result in them getting enraged, which stops you from being able to freeze them, and makes them run faster and glow cyan.
25:52 no it’s always been like that. It’s called the “Node Timer.” The timer is always going down for each node entity (the Angler and his variants), and it goes down by a certain amount when a door is opened, so that’s why Pande came while you were waiting and healing.

YAY YOU FINALLY PLAYED IT!!!!
Here are some tips:

Candlebearer: Yes, these entities from the Raveyard are in the Blacksite now. They do not work any different from before, and they spawn in dark rooms only, and can follow you if the adjacent room is also dark. They do not animate if you don’t have any light sources, or if all of your lights are dead. They can also follow you into side rooms, and are mostly a threat when the next room requires a keycard.

Candlebrute: These are basically giant Candlebearers and have their own rooms. As far as I know, they can spawn in normal room generations, Heavy Containment, and Oxygen Gardens. They are slow but deal more damage, and shining a light at them slows them down but does not immobilize them. They can also become enraged from shining a light at them for too long. The next room will ALWAYS require a keycard, and a strategy I use is to stick to the edges and spam-open the drawers, and keep juking the Brute. It also has a small hitbox and takes a while to hit you, so you can evade it before it attacks. Escaping from a room containing a Candlebrute rewards the badge “Treasure Map To Infinite Bloxy Cola.”

Bottomfeeder: This appears in a new room type called the Dredge. The Dredge is half underwater. The Bottomfeeder acts similar to the Skelepede from the Raveyard, and you can fight back against it if it catches you. However, turrets, eyefestation, and anglers can still spawn in the Dredge. Rooms in the Dredge can also require keycards.

DiVine (Z-17): These appeared in the Oxygen Gardens and were seemingly nice lawn decorations. But now, they actually attack. They only attack if you walk onto the grass, which forces you to use the pathway. One attack from them deals major damage but doesn’t kill you. Turrets can also spawn in their rooms now, as well as Candlebrutes, which I mentioned above. Surviving a beatdown from an instance of Z-17 rewards the badge “DiVine Beatdown.”

Hanger: There’s a chance you can find a revolver in a drawer. Picking it up will prompt the Hanger to manifest. She will try to influence you to shoot yourself with the gun, but if you resist it, you kill her instead.

Death Angel/Harbinger: This used to be an entity that could only be spawned by a Developer, but now has a very rare chance to appear in Endless Mode. You will know when it spawns when everything turns red from every single backup light turning on. It will then begin to approach like any other node monster would, but it also has Pandemonium’s eyesight range, and hiding in a locker will prompt a minigame much more difficult if the entity spots you inside. Dying from it rewards the badge “Death Incarnate.”

Ambuscade: Behaves exactly like it did before, and just like Death Angel, it is now a very rare entity in Endless Mode. For those who don’t know, Ambuscade behaves similarly as Froger, but is MUCH faster.

Runner: Behaves exactly like it did before, but is also now a very rare entity in Endless Mode. It is like Angler, but its eyesight is MUCH larger.

Also, you can turn on Deaf Mode if you want to. It’s there as an option, but not really meant to help you out, since it’s really only for those that are deaf or hard of hearing. It enables a visual cue for the following entities:
Angler: White smog
Blitz: Light blue (or light purple?) smog (but Blitz is fast, so it’s not much of a warning)
Froger: Brown smog
Pinkie: Pink smog (duh)
Chainsmoker: Green smog
A-60/Multi-Monster: Static
Aggravated Squiddle: Tan
Pandemonium: Red
Ambuscade: Same as Chainsmoker’s, but due to its speed, it appears much faster.
I don’t know yet about Runner or Death Angel.

35:30 the flashlight you got is actually the gravelight, a gummylight with a 30s duration and doesn't alert squiddles. its super OP and extremely rare.

26:26 thats called a node timer, it exists outside of the ridge too, its just that the ridge has a really small node timer so things spawn quicker

Yes, it's always been that way, the "rush" type entities run on a node timer, for example, once you open the first door, a timer of lets say 5 minutes starts, everytime you open a door, it reduces by 30 seconds, as far as i know that's how it's always worked, oh, and if there's a room with a candlebearer/brute, it's actually not THAT hard to avoid, just juke them and since punching actually takes time you can always run away if you need to, but be aware that sometimes the bearers can pass onto other rooms
