My son is a army pilot and was in Kabul and I thought I’d die of fear and worry! But thank God he made it home. Plus I’ve been an Army wife for 20 years to an Army infantry soldier… it’s a very difficult life but oh the homecomings are wonderful!

the first cadence I ever learned and loved cadences even to this day. I taught my kids a few of them. I still call cadence when I'm working, or just to motivate myself through hard times. My time serving will always be remembered as great times, especially the rough days and months, because I learned who I am, what I can endure and the friendships that became stronger as time flies

This has me in tears. I'm a UK army veteran and come from a long line of military family. I, m so glad that we were ale to travel with my dad throughout his 25 years in the army. However it was traumatic leaving friends behind when he was posted. I was serving during the Irish conflict and sadly lost my brother a marine commando during the Falklands conflict in a horrible accident.
The picture of the coffin did it for me as I couldn't attend my brothers funeral and he was buried at sea. I recently managed to give the flag draped on his coffin to his daughter who was just a baby when he died. Lots of happy memories though, thankfully.

Sgt. DePalo, thank you from the deepest of my heart. My son served with the 82nd Airborne and has damages. But he would not have made it without someone like you. Bless you.

I left my wife and kids to join the MC because of my brother's that died in the evacuation. Something called me, and I will fight for our freedom against all evils. Men and women of all branches by my side are my kin. Because we fight not for how much we hate what's infront of us but because of how deeply we love what stands behind us. We are the in between. We are the United States armed forces. OORAH AND SEMPER FIDELIS.
