I’m still happy with my 12 Pro. I’ve had zero issues. I will most likely get the battery replaced within the year or so to increase longevity.

If the iPhone 15 comes with usb c, I am sold. That’s the only selling point I need.

I find it hilarious as whenever we go on holiday my sister always forgets her charger and she always asks if she can borrow my charger 🤣 I have a Samsung so I have a USB C on me at all times not a lightning one

I have a feeling when apple switches to USB C they’re going to put a DRM chip to their chargers so that apple USB C chargers only work

USB-C is superior to Lightning in almost everything. If Apple wants to keep selling their stuff in the EU, they need to change to type C connector.

I like lightning tbh cleaning fluff out of it is soo much safer, I don’t have to worry about damaging the port and I can easily get the fluff out, USB C is great but not for pocketable devices where lint runs free

Monkey's Paw - Apple will make all future phones charge via NFC/Wireless Power Sharing mandatory and remove the charge port entirely.

I highly believe Apple is that spiteful that they'd do something like that. Wouldn't be surprised if Samsung (and other phone manufacturers) did the same thing, too.

They have to no matter how fast their wireless transfer is, it never beats the speed and efficiency of a port considering how big video file sizes are becoming to record

Mechanically, Fire wire and usb c are the EXACT SAME THING. They are just reversed and slightly different size. The fire wire tab is inside the device on usbc, and normal iPhone charge port is shaped like usbc wire end.
