Thanks so much for making this video. When my car would not recognize my phone I did a lot of reading and watched many videos. Not one mentioned updating android auto. I was getting ready to take my car to the dealer. After updating the android auto app on my phone the entertainment system worked immediately on my car. I didn't really think it would matter but the cord I was using wouldn't connect so I got a better one and it worked immediately.

good advice, thank you. One point to make a note of is that tablets including ipads won't work on this system, only phones.
