I drive a 2015 ford fusion hybrid for business purposes. Just broke 360k on it, no major problems with it yet.

I got my 2013 Ford Fusion 2.0 AWD Ecoboost Titanium in the winter of 2012. I have 86, 000 miles on it and no major problems so far . The best things I like about this car is the style, ride, tech and how damn comfortable it is inside. The car truly is a looker and almost 10 years it still holds up . Its just a damn good good looking car. Some things I dont like about it and its a big one. When the engine is cold the shifts are really noticible to the point that I dont have confidence the trans will last to 110, 000 miles. I love almost everything about this car and have had it for almost a decade but the transmission at least in mine is super iffy. It rips on sport mode though It pulls like a V6.

Solid review! I have a 13' SE 1.6 Ecotech with 175, 000 miles. Most reliable car I've ever owned. Aside from 7500 mile Mobil One changes and tires the only thing it's needed was a evap purge valve around 60k (covered under warranty), a spring on the gas door (also warranty), and a battery at 160k. Love the ecoboost low end torque. Car is happy to climb hills in 6th gear doing 70+ and turning 2500 RPMs. I'll be passing it down to my son at 200k with a used 19' or 20' Hybrid Titanium.

I just got a 2017 SE with 6 spoke wheels and it's an awesome little car. Came with 50k, rolled it over to 51k today and I can honestly say it's the best car I've owned.

The Bad: The 6-Speed 6F35 Automatic transmission. I had to replace mine at just 101, 000 miles.
I like everything else about the car, especially the body style. Even after more than 7 years, it still looks great. It has aged very well. While Toyota, Honda, Kia and Chevy 2013 model-year sedans look outdated, the Fusion still turns heads. Of course, mine has a few minor mods (steeda lowering springs, Chipecko Side Body Moldings, modified front grille) but they make a big difference.

From an owners perspective. My grandma leased a 2016 Ford Fusion SE in ruby red paint exterior with tinted windows and has the technology package with sync 2 touchscreen and rear sensing system and Sirius XM radio. Has the built in blind spot ford mirrors and the turn signal mirrors. Has the 16 inch alloy wheels and the ruby red paint looks so good and pretty on it. My grandma got this at 120miles on the odometer brand new and this car sat at a dealership for 4 months before it was bought. This also has the normal 2.5L and averaged 25.0 MPG throughout the 3 years of the ownership. My grandma is turning this in tomorrow. Has about 44, 000 miles and got inspected today. She only has to pay for the excess mileage and no damage done to the vehicle so far. It’s been a great car and my grandma replaced it with a brand new 2019 Nissan Rogue SL with the premium package. Has the rear sensors. Back up camera with around view monitor. Has the gunmetal gray exterior with the panoramic sunroof and the premium package. Has fog lights and LED lights. Has cameras on the mirrors, windshield and the rear. Has the push to start, remote start and power tailgate. It has all the new safety features and it’s very loaded and it’s the top of the line SL and has every single option except for the AWD and the ambient lighting. Was a $34, 620 SUV and she got a 3 year lease on it. Has the heated steering wheel and heated seats. Also has navigation Sirius XM radio and Bose audio system . Black leather interior. Carbon fiber door handles. Has the 18 inch alloy wheels with the new Nissan spokes. Has steering assist, blind spot monitoring. Brake assist, lane departure warning, pedestrian detection. Rear automatic braking system. And a foot activated power tailgate. This car is some much more nicer than her fusion. She loves her fusion but she wanted an SUV and something different and she got one now. I forgot to say that the her Nissan Rogue gets better gas mileage to. Gets 27.0 average. Has an ECO mode and sport mode. ECO mode helps it get better gas mileage. When I drove it a few times I liked this Rogue and it’s got the d cut steering wheel and it’s a very sporty and higher up SUV and it’s nicer to drive it because it’s fully loaded and it’s nice. Has the 2.5L with 170HP. I think this Rogue is faster than her fusion IMO because when I drive her fusion it’s peppy but it isn’t as fast off the line compared to my 2010 Toyota Camry LE with the 169HP 2.5L I4 with dual VVT-I and SMPI. My Camry would still beat her Rogue but her Rogue is 2-3 seconds faster than her fusion.

Agreed, it's a nice ride. Wished it wasn't so overly popular as I see so many on the road.

Just traded in my 2008 Cobalt(manual everything inc trans) for a 2016 Fusion Titanium last month, very impressed so far. Thanks for teaching me I can lock the door by pressing on those lines, heh.

Hi Rob, being a proud Fusion owner myself, I would like to say that Ford Fusion has been one of the best cars manufactured till date. I have a 2016 Ford Fusion SE AWD, with 18" rims. I remember you saying that you switched to Michelin tires, but could you please give me few more options to consider, for the tires? I am in Colorado.

That’s nothing I have a 14 Fusion with 100.006k miles maybe a little more and all I ever had to do was oil changes, and new tires

Nice review. I have a 2018 SE with the Tech Package and it's hands down the best car I've ever owned. The only real complaint I have is I didn't get the 2.0 Ecoboost lol, but the 1.5 Eco has plenty of pep. Much more than I expected.

I bought a first production 2013 SE model and unfortunately my car was a bit of a lemon, by 50, 000 km (not miles!!!!) I had used my factory warranty for 7 visits, issues with the capless gas tank, issues with turbo turbines, leaking moonroof, and so on with recall upon recall for safety and other features 😭

All that said - I would totally buy the 2018 which seems to have fixed so many issues, the fusion fit my lifestyle, was a good size (bit big for downtown Toronto driving, but you get used to it after a little while if you’re used to smaller cars), and Ford’s ‘pick and choose’ of options made it so easy to optimize and customize it to me.
