The guy in the thumbnail definitely looks like he's resting in Jesus' saving work on the cross for him! Great verses. Thanks for your ministry!

Jesus is King of Kings and Lord of Lords. I put my full trust in Him. His yolk is light and easy. Thank God Almighty that we have such a worthy Redeemer.

It should really be read as John 3:16-21
Especially the 19-21 part
And this is the judgment: the light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the light because their works were evil. For everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his works should be exposed. But whoever does what is true comes to the light, so that it may be clearly seen that his works have been carried out in God.”

Leaving out the word begotten in John 3:16 and 3:18 should not be done, it means he is begotten of God the Father through Mary, he says in many places he has come down from heaven, and the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us. The scripture does not say the new birth will inevitably lead one away from sin and toward the righteousness of Christ, it does tell us about the way for us to be transformed is by the renewing of our minds in Romans 12:2. James 2:26 is not referring to works mixed with faith for our eternal salvation, he is referring to our actions corresponding to what we believe after we receive eternal life. James 1:1-8 He is talking to his brethren and teaching them to how to live by their faith, not get saved.
