Dear Jim - as ever, an excellent presentation.

I initially had some problems transferring routes wirelessly from the Navionics App on my iPad to my Axiom 9 and eventually discovered two things which may help other subscribers.

Firstly, I had to give permission (on my iPad) for the Navionics App to access the Local Area Network (LAN) which I had created on my Axiom.

Secondly, when the routes got transferred, they didn't magically appear on the Axiom but got stored in an Archive directory on the SD card. From there, they then had to be imported into the Axiom.

I took me a while to work out why I wasn't able to get my routes from the iPad to the Axiom but now everything is fine.

Question: when I put the cursor somewhere and press OK I can select sometimes Go To. Sometimes it is not possible to select Go To. I would line to know what Go To is not always available.

Hi there, sorry to bother you again but we’re still trying to figure out our Axiom features. I love the anchor alarm on the Axiom but I’m trying to understand what the blue line with the arrows at the end mean. It doesn’t always show up but when we’re swinging around it pops up regularly. I’ve been trying to search in the manual but can’t find anything about it. Can you give us a clue?

As a solo sailor
Safety is paramount
Is it possible?
To say, have like a safety line to the sailor
Or a proximity link
So, if the sailor fell overboard
The rudder, would lock port, or Starbord
Then the boat would hopefully stall in the wind time for the sailor to get back on board ?

Why not have the feature to update Navionics charts directly from Axiom over the Wi-Fi… the option to use an iPad is like a detour (for updates) … similar to the process of update the Lighthouse software from the Axiom would be great… “over the air updates”

Does the Raymarine have the capacity to interact with a Minnkota I pilot?

Jim, my new i70s is showing dashes on the depth, speed and wind pages. The depth speed transducer is a new airmar, the wind sensor is five years old. The depth and speed show on the axiom. No wind shows on axiom. Any ideas?

And my next question Jim my speed over water does not read on my Raymarine we cleaned out the little tiny hole and tested it with the water hose spray and it moved my speedometer on the dash no problem but again it’s not connected to my Raymarine. Can you give me some ideas as to why my speed over water does not show on my element?

How do you take waypoints from an E80 Chart plotter, move and load them on to the Axiom + 9? There are lots.
