Been a subscriber for a while and now that we're ready to refit our commercial 59' OceanRocket tour boat, we've pretty much decided on an all-Raymarine suite especially due to the drone integration capabilities of Axiom, which we want to feature prominently here in New York.

Jim - Really enjoy these. You have a knack for explaining content well. Having moved from Classic E Series equipment to Axiom+, these presentations have been VERY helpful. Thanks. Anyhow, in this program you mentioned a couple times turning in tickets for suggested changes or modifications. I brought the following up once in question form, but I'd like to add it as a suggestion. Please-Please-Please address the Tachometer functionality in the Dashboard app. It carries engine RPMs out to single digits. By contrast, I believe the Yamaha and Mercury apps truncate (or round) the 1s or the 10s digits up or down so that 100s or 10s units are the most it displays. So 3000, 3100, 3200, for 100s units limiting, or 3010, 3020, 3030, for 10s units limiting. However, as the Raymarine app is now, it reads exact RPMs down to single digits. Since no engine can remain stable down to 1 RPM, the numbers on the display are constantly changing/moving. Would love it if the Dashboard app rounded to the 100s units, or at worst, the 10s units. Forget the ones. Or have the ability to choose accuracy to the 1s, 10s, or 100s in one of the menus. Sure hope this comes in the future. It would be quite an improvement for those of us who don't have Mercury or Yamaha. Any word on this? Thanks in advance!

Nice review. I have an Axiom pro with a RV-100 transom mount. The Chirp has stopped working but all the other features are fine.
I want to replace the transom mount with thru hull(s). The tech guy is recommending we only use Chirp transducers as he thinks the “All in one” are not reliable?
We only fish in the Ocean so we probably wont use some of the other features like side vision etc as much as the Chirp but i hate to lose that ability.
We have an 18 degree deadrise so we would need two thru hulls.
Are there any issues with the reliability of the RV 200, 212, etc?
Are the thru hulls going to be significantly better than just replacing the RV-100 transom mount?

Hi Jim, my sailboat came with an A7 and a tiller pilot. Sorry don't know the model number, but it does not have controls on the cylinder, it has a separate control head and fluxgate compass. I just bought the i70system pack that includes the itc5 converter. My hope is to integrate the control head and fluxgate compass into my SeatalkNG network. Can this be done by connecting the fluxgate compass to the itc5 and then using a Seatalk to SeatalkNG converter for the control head? Also, does the ST to STNG converter need to be the point of entry for power or can the 12v power be introduced at another point along the backbone. I ask this because the kit comes with a power cable. Thanks in advance.

hi Jim thanks for all the handy info can i just ask is it possible to do something like add waypoints from my phone, or pc on axiom pro 12, without getting on the boat and using the axiom mfd tablet. also 1 time i was playing around with the axiom 12 and it showed a route like my tomtom gps. it looked like a road i could navigate with. ive seen this on 1 of your vids too but cant find it anymore. do you know this function? I use navionics, cheers

Hi Jim, I would be interested in more info on how to connect a non-Raymarine video camera to my Axiom 12 Pro. I have followed the advice from Raymarine (titled 'Video input sources for MDF's using Lighthouse II and Lighthouse III), but still get a message that the Axiom cannot find any video cameras. Any other suggestions? Thanks, David.

I understand networking over Raynet (ether) but what about wifi? Will Axiom MFDs share AIS, heading, GPS, and RADAR over Wifi as well?

Jim, is it possible to install software upgrades on a Ray53 VHF, via direct connection to an Axiom Pro? The Axiom has the upgrade loaded to a micro SD card.

Awesome Axiom knowledge…. Does anyone have a augmented reality system onboard or can it be shown at night? Really like to see it work with a cam220 at night. Maybe this program could show. I can’t find any online. Was thinking of buying but wanted to understand it’s night capability if any. Thanks
