this is the same interviewer who pissed off Robert Downey Jr by talking about his drug history in an Avengers promo interview..

The point is that QT already answered that question many many times and you easily can find his answers and his opinion about it via google. It was unnecessary to ask that again.

I gotta hand it to Tarantino to have not gotten up and smacked that guy - I guess that was difficult. I mean, he was sitting there, that Guru Murthy, smiling so high and mighty... It was enraging ME even though I wasn't in his field of vision..

He answers this question in every single interview for every single one of his movies.

He had every right to say what he said. He's been answering that question for 20 years and I'm sure he got tired of it after about 3 years. I think he is spot on with saying that the interviewers just want him to say it for them to boost their ratings.

violence has been entertainment since ancient times how can this foolish reporter not understand that.

It's the same interviewer that made Robert Downey Jr. leave the interview.

Tarantino's not an "asshole", the reporter has asked totally irrelevant questions to make him look bad and he took none of it. I really admire that he doesn't stand for sly underhand tactics to boost a reputation.

Not only is the man a genius, he's brutally honest and speaks his mind even when the camera's rolling. Gotta love Quentin Tarantino!

Quentin is so awesome, one of only a few directors in modern day hollywood that doesn't bow down to the typical bulls**t media, and these dumb questions. People always want to blame others and find scapegoats when something bad happens in society, they never question the actual person who committed a crime, or analyse their past, upbringing, and state of mental health.

"What made Quentin lose his cool" Cocaine I'd say

Quite refreshing to see some honesty for a change. "This is a commercial for my movie". I can respect that. Why else do film directors agree to be interviewed about their recent work?

I think you fail to understand that the interviewer not only tried to ask the question again once, but FOUR times.

Once when he brings up Jamie Foxx's views, the second time after QT stated he hadn't changed his opinion, trying to get him to flesh it out, the third time after he said 'fine that's your right' going on to discuss the vice president's views on violence, the fourth time when he says QT has a responsibility to explain. Clearly the reporter didn't know when to CHANGE THE SUBJECT.

I thought the real violence was about to start had he not changed his question
