Not only is the water is so clear, the sand is beautiful, fine and pink . Sun beds are crap . They take up so much room. I would go in late May or October and not in peak summer .

This is the best beach in Greece . The main beach in Crete is not as nice as Elafonisi beach .In Australia we have a red sand beach in Western Australia but not pink . We have pink lakes though .

I have been there today. I am really disappointed. You can find much better places even in Crete.

Completely overrated. Overrun by hoards of tourists. Tour buses everywhere. Used to be a quiet serene place. Now spoiled. The Greeks will tell you they go to the south of Crete where there’s peace and quiet and stunning beaches of course.

for the Mediterranean it is nice but compared to a Caribbean beach like Varadero or Cancun it is outright substandard
