Just so you know, the fill bucket tool actually does not restrict shadows. You can shade with the fill bucket tool by copying a layer, using the pen to make lines where you want your shadow to be, and then setting the opacity of the eraser to something a bit different, and then merge the layers. It's something you should try out sometime, I myself have tried it before and I love it.

making animations on mobile is difficult, because mobile apps are very limited and simple so when you want to do something more complicated it will be much more difficult than it should be, anyway I have an animation channel on YouTube, and I like it a lot of doing animations in flipaclip 😀

Tip: if you select the "pick colour" on the paint bucket and aim off the Animation, than it's like a delete bucket

It's an amazing learning experience. For me the pose to pose method is wonderful to start from. I have a challenge in erasing to make a smooth object in consequent frames.
