As a Moroccan amazigh from the south, my mom would always tell me about the jewish merchants who would travel around the villages where my grandma used to live to sell all kinds of things( our 100 y.o family's silver jewellery were bought from jewish merchants) and just how nice they were. There even is a space especially dedicated to the jewish cemetary that are watered (there is a lot of greenery there and taken care of by muslims and this for decades. I always thought it to be a beautiful proof of tolerence between our people, so it is unfortunate to see how things are today out there. Never have i ever heard my grandma or anyone around me speak badly about the jewish community of Morocco, the acceptance is here, however if you a zionist you are NOT welcome for sure.

I do remember a documentary about an Iraqi Arab Jew and how he went around Israeli schools playing Aoud and telling Israeli students about how beautiful Arab culture is, hope that there are more like him doing so to preach coexistence ❤️

In a sad irony, you see the Arab Mizrahi Jews and the Ethiopian Jews in Israel are the more hardcore apartheid supporters. You often saw this in the US South where some of the poorest whites went hardest for Jim Crow. When faced with a deeply racist society some people pursue q strategy of finding and the even more marginalized "other" to persecute in order to allow them to assimilate into the dominant group
