The rarest type of car guy is a car girl

Man it’s gonna be weird in 50-60 years where a 2017 Mustang will be considered a classic.

We all used to be an "no car car guy" when we were at school, we became "grocery getter guru " when we grew up, then some of us are lucky enough to get their dream cars, some very nice ones and became the "OEM guy" since they worked very hard for it and appreciate their car very much. We all will become an "electric car enthusiast " some day when it take over in the future. In the end when we're old, retired, we look back to our life and the cars we used to own, we become a "daily drive classic "guy, to remind us of what we learned and went through when we were young and energetic

In the future when the world is taken over by electric cars, I’ll be that one old guy who flies by sending smoke in a V8.

I meet Groceries Getter Guru before, he's my Uber driver and a cop. He has couple Fast Honda's and not ashamed to race on public road even though he's a police before he retired and focus more on family. The only time I want a small talk with Uber driver.

Even rarer than all of these, is the teen daily drive classic. I was like this, because my step dad got a 1979 trans am as a project car for us and i just used it as my first car. Still love that beautiful ole thing

I’m a 14 year old MAD car enthusiast. I’ve been playing car games since I was 4, only watch car yt, only play car mobile games, still play with my hot wheels, and WALK by MYSELF to the local meet every Saturday morning. And yes, to clarify, I’m the no car, car guy.

I daily drive my 66 T-Bird. I haven't had to work on it for several months, other than an oil change.
7.0 428 no A/C (Going to install A/C soon though haha)

Mods: Custom exhaust, rebuilt suspension(N.O.S.), gel battery with 200 amp alternator, upgraded cooling system, and a lot of replaced wiring.
Planned mods: A/C(original rebuilt), 4 disc brakes(from front disc/rear drum setup), new power window motors, new paint, new glass.

I worked on it for about 3 years before getting it to a point it was daily, then sold my toyota and put the money into parts for my T-Bird. It's now the only car I own.

Haven't looked back since.

I've been daily driving my 68 Plymouth Roadrunner for 8 years now and I will never stop. Only had a few minor reliability issues so far and the car is simple enough to be diagnosed and fixed almost immediately. It also gets better mileage than most new trucks :)

As much as I love the OEM lifestyle, I love having the ability of looking stock from outside but a monster on the inside. Sleeper for life!

I feel like there should be a section for people like James May, the classic car enthusiast who really appreciates the history behind cars and the unique history of each one and their manufacturers, but also really fucking loves and appreciates the advancements in engines and how much fun they are.

Not sure if this is like a good example of this but I had an original ford gt poster with specs and everything on it next to a poster I had of the progression of the Cadillac Hood Ornaments when I was a kid. And now I have an ‘03 Deville at 19 😂
