My grandpa went through Japanese internment camps, went on to become a boxer, joined the Marines and got the highest rank for accuracy, left the Marines, went to California Polytechnic University, got a degree in architecture, and then went on to design his own house in one of the most expensive places to live in California. He’s one badass man.

My heroes are my grandmothers. One told her abusive husband to screw off and raised 8 kids on her own, became a brilliant artist, and a wonderful teacher. The other was a tough as nails Texan who watched over 10 siblings, 6 kids, and never stopped teaching me to stand my ground. Silent Gens are awesome.

Most of Gen X and early Millennials did rule the 90s as they were in their prime during that decade (teens and 20s). Most of Millennials in the 90s were kids (like myself, I was 11 when the 90s ended, but had the best 90s childhood that I’ll forever be grateful for)
