Lucario could definitely be worse in pvp. It's # 8 in the current GL: Fantasy Cup and # 189 in Ultra League, which isn't that bad considering how many mons are in UL.

Got a hundo and a shundo, which is the same I got for Necrozma. My luck for the year is used up

can Mega Mewtwo X even beat it? the fast move it can learn is Low Kick and even it needs to also get Aura Sphere

3 remotes just get me enough mega energy, 250 each, and I just got trash iv from it.

Now I can mega evolve my old Best Buddy 98% iv Lucario, and used the elite charge TM.

I've never been a fan of Lucario. I've had a hundo for years and hatched a 98 shiny with the last event with them in the 2k(?) eggs. Mega evolved one and just wow!! Still not a fan but certainly a very useful addition to my teams.

Evolve riolu today to get the legecy fast attack. I evolved 6 of them. All got the legecy move. I think before 10 pm local time. Dont forget to double charge attack the baby pokemon before evolving if you want.
