I just want to give a big thank to you! I have rosacea for more than 20 years, recently it became more uncontrollable, dry patches everywhere, nothing could calm it down. I glanced upon your video the other day and ordered the Avene Xeracalm, thinking what the heck, I will just spend more money on something might not work (you probably know exactly what I feel), well, it WORKED! My dry patches are gone! So thank you for sharing this!

That was a very interesting article, here area few more tips for people who might have Rosacea.
1. Do you really think you have Rosacea or have you been looking on the internet too much? It may be common, affecting up to one in ten people, but red faces are not always rosacea. Dermatologists often see patients who are worried that they may have developed rosacea, perhaps following a bit of internet searching, but they may actually have another condition altogether. Facial redness simply occurs because there in increased blood flow to the top part of the skin, perhaps because of inflammation, sun damage or fixed widening of vessels.
2. Don’t panic great treatment is available. It is not yet possible to cure rosacea however it is extremely responsive to the right treatment and can often be completely controlled. Patients are often very worried when they come to see a Dermatologist that they may have a long-term progressive condition. People particularly worry about the development of a thickened nasal skin, a condition called rhinophyma.
3. Don’t break the bank on cosmetics. Rosacea is a common condition which is often distressing. The cosmetics industry is worth billions of dollars. Unfortunately the claims that cosmetic companies make about their products being able to cure rosacea are mostly bogus. Cosmetics don’t reverse or reliably treat inflammatory rosacea, despite some companies’ extraordinary claims. So what does help? Simple cleansers and moisturisers like the Cetaphil range and sunblocks such as Anthelios, Sun Sense products or Altruist. Cover up foundations and powders and green-tinted moisturisers may also be helpful to cover redness and improve confidence.
4. Consider Seeing A Dermatologist. Dermatologists are the professionally trained skin specialists in the UK. If you have any concerns about diagnosis and management of your skin condition it is worth seeing a Dermatologist to obtain an expert opinion and place you on the right treatment path. The diagnosis of inflammatory conditions of the face can sometimes be difficult as conditions often overlap. New treatments are coming through all the time and complex treatments such as laser are best done by clinicians with relevant experience. In the UK you can check whether a doctor has completed Dermatology Specialist Training to become a Dermatologist on the specialist register of the General Medical Council. Look for ‘Dermatology’ under the doctor’s specialist register entry details.

I use Avene extremely gentle cleanser for hypersensitive and irritable skin. I love it. Very good value and lasts about 2 months. My son is hypersensitive and I get bad eczema that takes months to clear up.

Thank you for this video. I tried the Xera Calm Cream. I love it. My skin is so soft and no further redness or tight dry spots. Also, the real reason that I bought this cream was for my daughter. She gets dermatitis on her hands in the winter months and this cream contains no alcohol. It has helped her hands so much. So I thought to try it on my face too and we now both use it. Thank you so much.

I'm a male with oily t-zone and a bit of rosacea. Never used Clinique in the past but I must admit I 'm using the Clinique Redness facial cleanser and Clinique Redness solution daily cream but at night. In the morning I'm using an spf 100 by Frezzyderm..it simply is the best ( you should do a video on frezzyderm products they're Greek brands). Anyhow back to Clinique I agree with you on these two mentioned products they are FANTASTIC for oily red sensitive skin. What I love the most is that they DO NOT contain fragrance and do not leave an oily look once applied/ Thanks for this video.

Know this is old but I’m playing catch up. I am going to try that avene balm. Now, from an older skin woman, I hope you have found higher spf sunscreen you can take. I have found I can wear eltamd clear facial spf and most mineral only based sunscreens in spf 50 on my face even with sensitivity and redness exactly where yours are. You have such gorgeous skin and I just want it to continue for decades. Ok, Mom advice over. Love you and your videos. So elegant and informative.💕😘

I use the Avene Hydrance Spf 25 moisturizer and it has no smell (fragrance ) added. It moisturizes my dry skin like a DREAM and doesn't irritate my sensitive skin either !! Just a suggestion 😊Just bought my third one!

Wow thus has helped me out a lot ! I'm definitely going to buy one or two products from avene you've mentioned for redness and rosacea. I already have a Sunscreen from Avene and I tried the thermalwater, but it honestly dried my skin out a little, maybe I used it too much though.. People think I'm crazy for buying products that expensive, but the whole amound of money I spend on drugstore products that I didn't even use twice is just a ridiulous amound in comparison ! xx

Hello, I just wanted to tell you I've never met someone who described exactly what I go through wirh my skin. I've been to dermatologist and tried every cream and product only to have even more of a reaction. Sometimes just water causes a reaction so that you so much for these products. I am going to try them. But I wanted to find out what you do about makeup? my face reacts to any makeup I use also. do you have a specific routine or line you'd recommend? I don't use a lot of makeup but I am getting older and would like to reduce the appearance of my age. thanks again!

I have super sensitive skin rn and it flares up a lot and get those small "pimples" whenever i use certain products. The avene thermal water was one of the first things i bought. I use it as an emergency mask whenever my skin flares up. I soak cotton pads with it n place them on my face like a mask. Of course this method isnt cheap but it works for me esp since im still in the middle of switching mg skincare

I totally feel you Heidi ! Finally I found you on YouTube. I have the same skin condition just like you. But slightly worse than you maybe ?! Every products that I used which initially suits me, after few applications/ weeks later, my skin will just flare up like nobody business. Red, itchy, simply rinsing with water also sting my face! Avene indeed has amazing products that tame my horrible skin condition. Cetephil nor physiogel work for me! Thanks for your recommendation! I would go and try out the other Avene new products. Cheers !

Hi Heidi! I just loved your video! Its very informative. Your skin is glowing and looks so healthy. I know what you mean when you talk about those little itchy bumps of Rosacea because I get them very often....especially if my skin gets irritated or if I eat sweets, spicy/processed food or go out in sun without a sunscreen. So I have to be very cautious for the rest of my life. I don't have generalized redness but I also have a horribly sensitive skin. I am so glad I found your video. I am definitely gonna purchase some of the products that you mentioned. You are so right that people with sensitive skin should never EVER rub their skin with wipes to take off the make up. I only wear a mineral sunscreen with SPF 50 and I am considering trying both the things that you suggested....the baby oil and the Clinique cleansing just wanted to know how you take off the oil. Do you take it off with some cloth or do you just use Avene face wash with water to take the oil off once it has melted all your make up by massaging? I have slightly dry cheeks but mildly oily T-zone. Some of the Avene cleansers for sensitive skin say that you need to tissue them off which I am so scared of doing. My skin gets irritated if I use cotton pads or wipes or washcloth. All I can do is just massage the cleanser gently and then rinse it off. I am currently using the hydrating cleanser from Cera Ve. Its very good but the only problem is that it doesn't take off my sunscreen. Do you have any suggestions for me? I have used DHC cleansing oil in the past thinking that it is such a plus point that it can be just rinsed off. But the surfactants in it flared up my Rosacea so bad that it took 10 days for my skin to recover. I would appreciate any suggestions. Thanks again!

Thanks for your video. Hopefully it will help my daughter who is 11 yrs old with extremely dry skin. She goes red very easily, she just had to walk down the road and her face goes red. Can anyone tell me if that is typical for someone with dry skin. All the kids at her school comment on how red her skin is after they finish running around and lunch time. She is getting really frustrated!

first able: thank you for sharing with us your experience with us. And I have mine to share with you too about Avene Tolérance Extrême. It's a gentel product but it texture it's really fat. For you as a dry skin it will help but for oily skins it's unsuitable. That was my only product who I used on your whole line. I wonder if you can show me how to do that homemade lotion because I found it more interesting than the thermal water and thanks. Take care
