YES THIS ONE! So my friend and I went to the more commonly watched version of this, and the head cut off scene is completely off. So thankful this still exists.

I remember listening to this with my late father when I was a boy, and he’d always quote the line “Welcome my son… welcome to the machine”. I know Waters wrote it about the music business, but this song and video always makes me think of the corrupt politicians and elites that run our lives like thugs and bullies.

This video reminds of the freedom the sphere reminds of that freedom as for the wave of hands are the ones who get left behind the ones who don't get to witness the amazing inside that sphere.

The " machine " is the record company...once you’ve signed with them they control you as an artist.

This song is basically about the power of government and how we are all not really free and just products of a factory made to produce people like cold cuts and how more and more people sell out to become part of this machine and give up their individuality for fortune. rip gerald scarfe awsome vid...

“Welcome to the Machine” (1975) is about the money-grubbing record producers and managers controlling the band, which contributed to Pink Floyd founder Syd Barrett’s mental collapse. The world around Barrett was like a machine. They told him what to do and when to do it so they would reach success. The “Wish You Were Here” LP (1975) revolves around Syd Barrett.

“Welcome to the Machine” (1975) features a rare music video only played during concerts. It shows corpses, rats, death, and waves of blood. ABSOLUTELY NOT MEANT FOR THE FAINT OF HEART‼️ 💙🩸💚

May you rest in peace, Roger Keith “Syd” Barrett (1946 - 2006)… 🌹… and Richard William Wright (1943 - 2008)… 🌹

after nearly 30 years with this song where there has been acid included and there has not - i can say its sweet on it's own but yeh acid helps alot, that's what it's for. herb being the same way. songs like this are designed for an extra plane anyway. this song's creators would be the first to agree with me.

Look at what's happening out there and tell me that this song wasn't a prophecy of things to come.
