These guys were so FAR ahead of their time. I'm 60 and I've been realizing that for the past 30 years or so.

I’m 73 and still love Pink Floyd, Queen, Led Zeppelin, Beatles, Eagles, Traffic etc. Feel like I grew up with the best soundtrack from 1962 on.

I'm 63 and I've been listening to Pink Floyd since I was 12. My parents used to tell me it was "Doper music". That's about the time I discovered weed.

Welcome to the Machine
Pink Floyd
Welcome my son, welcome to the machine
Where have you been?
It's alright we know where you've been
You've been in the pipeline, filling in time
Provided with toys and 'scouting for boys'
You brought a guitar to punish your ma
And you didn't like school, and you
Know you're nobody's fool
So welcome to the machine
Welcome my son, welcome to the machine
What did you dream?
It's alright we told you what to dream
You dreamed of a big star
He played a mean guitar
He always ate in the Steak Bar
He loved to drive in his Jaguar
So welcome to the machine

The genius of Pink Floyd was what made this song so realistic. It is describing not just the music industry but society in itself.

We are already living in a world like this and we are to blind to see it

It's amazing how modern this song still seems, it must have seemed like it was from a different dimension in the 70s

That ending was epic. "They" still know how to silence you, once you "wake up"

There will never be a better band. If their music dropped today for the first time, it would still be competely unique, relevant, ahead of its time and an instant hit. I love this band!

I agree this video is freaking amazing, Pink Floyd will always be the most talented musicians ever. No one can ever come close, I used to lay on the floor and listen to them on headphones for hours.

Тысячу раз слушал эту вещь. Флойд- больше, чем музыка, это- отдельный пласт культуры.
Весь ужас в том, что сейчас это всё меньше воспрринимается, как фантастика...

This track may be nearly 50 years old but the video more than ever represents modern life more clearly than ever. The battle of those who have and those who have not is ever increasing and more terrifying.

Life is a mystery when you have a band like this who were born to meet and create such genius. All we can do is be thankful to witness it.

Pink Floyd meets Iron Giant meets post-apocalyptic nightmare, with a nod to the Matrix thrown in as well.

Well done!
