Romans 10:9-10 Because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved.

1 Corinthians 15:3-4
For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures,

Ephesians 2:8-9
For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.

John 3:16-18 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

‭‭John‬ ‭12:25-26

God I love this scene; Rose gazing up at the Statue of Liberty, a symbolic representation of Jack, the man who freed her, ready to begin a new life, a life of making each day count, and never letting

This is the best scene in the movie imo... Rose looking up at the Statue of Liberty, which symbolizes the freedom that she has finally gained after a long and arduous struggle, with the help of Jack's love (which gave her courage), and the disastrous shipwreck (which gave her the opportunity). She has finally broken away from her abusive fiancé, her controlling mother, and the life of aristocracy which was nothing but a cage to her. A new life of being an independent and free person awaits her. So inspiring and so moving.

During this scene, I always think of Fabrizio (Jack's Italian friend) who wanted to see the statue of Liberty. Unfortunately, he never saw it

that moment in the movie when rose said to Jack: "When the ship docks, we are getting off together" unfortunately it didn't happen so she looked up at the statue and remember what she said... so sad

is it strange that I find this the saddest scene of the movie?

I love this scene. So beautiful. Next time a guy asks for my name, I am so saying "Dawson, Rose Dawson" and if they get the reference I might give them my real name.

Am I the only one who gets goosebumps from the haunting background score?

Hands down, this is one of the best scenes in the entire movie! There's so much emotion in this short scene. Rose can't believe that she's looking at the Statue of Liberty and that she made it to New York when so many others didn't, it's almost like she's saying why am I still alive? How did I survive? And the obvious one being that Jack isn't with her, and the only life she had known would be gone forever. Disowning her mother, leaving Cal, and starting a new life in America.

A woman's heart is a deep ocean of secrets. But now you all know there was a man named Jack Dawson, and that he saved me, in every way that a person can be saved, I don't even have a picture of him he exists now only in my memory

it's just a short clip from the movie but it did give me goosbumps

If she told the man her real name, she would have either been reunited with cal, her mother or remain alone and work to pay off the debt her father left.

I think her face shows us complex feelings, freedom, loss, sad, hope... Also, the rain washes all away. I think rain implies condolences on deaths, clean and new start. This scene is my favorite one.

Such a beautiful scene. Makes me wonder how my grandparents felt coming from Greece by ship and seeing HER in the harbor. So majestic and symbolic of new hope, dreams and freedom. Must have been awe inspiring!

This may be a very short scene, but I can't stop replaying it because of the music and the look in Rose's eyes. She looks like a shell of a human being and yet at the same time she looks very strong. Most people would be broken after experiencing such loss. Jack was the love of her life, after all. But she told him she would never let go. So she doesn't. She honours his memory and lives on.

This scene is really melancholic. The statue symbolizes the promise of Jack to Rose — that will never happen. Also, applies to other passenger, that we dreamt and planned together for our better future, but without knowing that only one of us could be there.

Many would not know but this music depicts hope and human spirit. This music conveys 'no matter what happens, life must go on'. It's too sad that Jack couldnt make it on that sinking night and dies though he leaves Rose with a reason to live, a promise to abide and a life full of freedom. That's the reason Rose stares at Statue of Liberty when she arrives New York and instead of telling that man real name, she chooses to add Dawson to remind herself of the very promise, a new & liberal life and the sacrifice Jack made for her. It's a beautiful film with tons of hidden messages.

God i love this scene so much. When Rose is gazing at the Statue of Liberty i cant help but think of the promise she gave to Jack. The promise that she would survive the sinking and reach America to start her life. I think the statue also represents that Rose is finally free of Cal and her mother’s grasp.
