"How dare you use a recent & specific example!" needs to be my go-to response for all accusations.

I LOOOOVE how John giggles like a child and bounces when he’s most excited 🤣 you can tell he’s genuinely happy to be there

John Oliver wiping away a tear as he says "That'll be a nice surprise... for my parents" while dying laughter at the passive aggressive headline is PEAK comedy

The lady in the crowd affirming John’s disgust for aniseed balls is the absolute best.

In love with the one random Brit in the audience who was so polite and also so clearly despised aniseed balls.

I still stand by my request/demand that Seth Meyers and John Oliver do a Day Drinking episode, once the strike is lifted. Two of my most favorite people interacting with each other whilst sober ... can't wait to see them inebriated. :D

I know that this video is supposed to highlight how funny John is but I still think Seth's "You're our royal correspondent by fate more than anything else" is a underrated gem.

The bit about the Muppet performers being so good at making you see the puppet as the real person reminds me of an interview with Frank Oz. He said that frequently when there's a Muppet guest on a show that doesn't normally have muppets, Frank would have to remind the sound guy that it doesn't work to put the mic on the puppet you have to put it on him.

FULL SUPPORT for THE WRITERS AND ACTORS! John Oliver is out there doing stand-up to support his crew. He is the GOAT. Power to the People.

His eyes when he said (around 24:14), “But there was that split second of, ‘Burn Her.’” just killed me a little from sheer perfection of him going from jolly laughter to a soulless dead serious serial killer kind of stare!

I love how they enjoy the conversation they're having so much that they almost seem to forget there's an audience there until they react.

The cocaine "ad" bit was absolutely brilliant, watching John internally comprehend - in real time - that running with this gag maybe isn't a _great_ idea for several reasons, but realising that he's committed now and just steaming ahead with it anyway. A great bit of interview-television, I love the way these two bounce off each other so well (like literally bouncing in John's case).

Watching the interview from right before covid lockdowns, so freaky right now.

Seth and John is my favourite pairing, most natural interview of any of the late nights

I love how physical John is when he laughs.

I love when John get so excited, or he's laughing so hard that he bounces in his seat 😂🤣🤣🤣

I love how these two feed off of each other and get funnier and funnier. They each make the other better.

Proud of you guys for sticking by the writers and actors, but I cannot tell you how many times I've thought to myself about how the folks at Late Night would've tackled a certain headline.

Such brilliance can not be dimmed.

We miss John Oliver and Seth Meyers' humor. We understand that not being fairly compensated is no joke. We look forward to the writers' and actors' eventual return.

I think about "how dare you use a recent and specific example" all the time lol
