This is amazing!! I used to hate math as a child. Attending college as an adult studying maths I need videos like these! You're my fav math Tutor as you make things appear so interesting and fun:)

To sum it up- just cross multiply both ratios
Thank me later I just saved you 9 minutes (let's get this to the top so everyone can see)

When I first found your channel, I was stunned to see how easy math can be! I could understand way better. Your 9 minute videos really do explain a lot and make more sense than many weeks of learning the same topic.😂 Thank you for these awesome videos. You make these lessons feel like they are not hard and I really enjoy watching these! Thank you! 😄

"Cross multiply is a common but very vintage term -- I remember my father using it when he explained arithmetic problems to me, and he was educated in the 1930's; my elementary education was in the late 1950s and early 1960s. By 1963 the lingo was formalized to be:"The Means-Extremes" Rule, or stated otherwise: When operating with Ratios and Proportions, the product of the means equals the product of the extremes.

My teacher: “So if you just look at it and you san see that these are of the same value because 3 times 3 is 9 so that is equal and then 15 times 3 is 45 so that is also equal, meaning yes it is a proportion.

Everybody else in the class: Yes. I understand.

Me: What-

*searches on youtube 1 DAY before test: How to solve proportions and figure out whether they are true or not*

*finds this video*

Me: *3 Minutes in*

Also me: I UNDERSTAND.

You are such an amazing teacher! I'm one of those women who have been horribly bad at math since grade school! Now, in my 20's, I must take a math placement test for college .. and let me tell you! I've watched video after video, and I'm breezing threw it. If I had had you as a teacher to begin with, maybe I would have understood mathematics for the get-go! Thank you! :)
