That fact that it took 2.5 years for the investigation, CAS hearing, and for the U.S. skaters to get their medals is absurd. The evidence against the Russian skater was incontrovertible from the start. The IOC and CAS could absolutely have wrapped this up within a matter days so those athletes could get their gold medals at the proper Olympics. Instead, politics and bureaucracy dragged this out FAR too long, and those athletes were cheated out of their true Olympic moment on the podium at the Games where they won.

Such crazy circumstances!

Congratulations to team USA and Japan on receiving their well-earned medals!

the thing is Valieva probably didn’t even know she was doping, skaters hardly have control over the things she’s taking it was her coaches who told her to take the heart medication and she probably did not know it was banned.
Also if another figure skater other than valieva competed Russia would have still got the team medal so this is unfair for all the other Russian athletes who did not dope.

Way to go, Nathan! He is now a two-time Olympic gold medalist AND the only men's figure skater to win two gold medals at the same Olympics.

Because of their beliefs, Muslims have often considered the Druze to be heretics and have persecuted them. This persecution has included massacres, the destruction of Druze holy places, and forced conversions to Islam. Druze have lived as outcasts under many Islamic empires, including the Fatimid Caliphate, the Mamluk Empire, and the Ottomans.  0:17
