In this tutorial we are going to take a look at how we extract a dynamic list from a data range when you have two or more criteria and you want to use an OR type logic.

I like the old pre 365 way of thinking !! So much more better accurate and true !! Scientific.

I have been searching for exactly this for months. Thank you for saving me from having to manually copy/paste a bunch of information over.

Hi Mike.. thanks for this final piece of the puzzle. If you learn the operators and understand the array that gets returned by using them, you can go crazy with the combinations.. getting EXCEL to produce complex filtered results at will. Outstanding.. thanks for sharing! Thumbs up!!

Thank you for this video. How would you change the Y/N selection criteria and formula to support 3 values - Yes, No, and Maybe (Y, N, M), under the "Attending" column? I'd like to see the list of attendees who are attending and those that may attend. Multiple OR criteria in one cell versus different columns. How would you write this formula in Excel?

Happy Friday Michael. I have a question for you. What if you are wanting to create a new column like you did in E but column E is to list every name that starts with the letter K from column A? In your case it would only be 2 names.Column F would show if the 2 people are attending.

Awesome videos and very helpful! Is it possible to have the returned list based on multiple validated drop down choices? So the list would change based on a Y or N selected in G1 and would also change if >25 or >50 was selected? essentially I have a list of 1000's of parts. I was able to get the dynamic list based on the single criteria of which machine was selected from a drop down list. Now i further need to have the list refined by choosing Yes or No if the part is a recommended part, and also change based on if the part is categorized as a spare or wear part. All of which would be easy if I just made a big table and used slicers, but I am trying to accomplish it via formulas.

I'm trying to do this but with information on different sheets, the 1st instance works but the rest of them returns a #NAME? error...
