Gradius III is one of my favorite titles on the SNES outside of the JRPGs

Pilotwings was my jam in middle school. I am shocked, SHOCKED that it wasn't included on the SNES Classic Plug 'n Play.

I plan to take a detour this coming Saturday to my local retro video games store! Wanting to find some SNES, GBA or GENESIS carts to add to my collection. Haven't shopped there for the past several months. Looking forward to it. Would love to find Tetris Attack.

Another great video sir. How old are ya? I'm 38 myself, and I can say when I got my first SNES my pack in game was Link To The Past when Super Mario World was the norm😁

Holy cow! Gradius brings back so many memories! It was one of the few games I had for the SNES as a kid. I never did beat it, but boy did I play it for HOURS. Thanks for the vids, man!

I had no idea the Strikes were on the SNES, well played Sir. We loved them on SEGA

Another great video John. If a game's value was predicated on how fun it is Baseball Simulator 1.000 would cost a fortune.

Great video, John. I was fortunate to have both a Genesis and SNES. I loved both and these games are indeed a great value. Especially that Desert Strike.

Another great one in a similar vein to Tetris Attack: Wario's Woods. Such a fun, unique puzzle game, and it's still quite affordable!

Hearing John say "strategy" or "strategize" never fails to bring a smile to my face. Thanks for this list, nice to hear about some affordable games.

Thank you so much for this review! I especially love to play puzzle and word games. So, I will be looking for that Tetris Attack game as a physical cart. I have played it before a few times but not enough and I've never had the actually cart, only played the rom.

By the way, have you ever played Wordtris from the SNES? Great game combining Tetris and Boggle. I actually have the cart for that one.

I truly love Tetris Attack and it's one of my favorite SNES Puzzle type games, next to Tetris & Dr. Mario and Zoop. One thing I love about Pilotwings, is when I get on that bonus target (by luck, of course lol), sometimes the proctor gives a funny gesture like his eyes bulging out, lol. I always loved that.

Tetris attack is underrated as is the n64 game Tetrisphere

I think for me it's either Final Fight, which is one of my all time favorite beat-em-ups, or NHL 94, which you can find for a coke and a song CIB (I think I spent $8 on my copy locally). I LOVE Gradius 3 from your video - and I had zero idea it was a cheap game! I need to track that one down!

Pilotwings is probably my favourite SNES game. Each mission is fairly short and we can always go back and try to do them better. Plus, what is more fun than flying around :-)

i've never understood why the Strike series has been largely forgotten. Be great if an indie developer chose to pay homage to the series
