The Channel 3 family is remembering long-time anchor, colleague and friend Denise D'Ascenso.

The pain in Dennis House's eyes and voice is genuine and so crushing. I have a lot of respect for him going on air and delivering the news and video eulogy to his colleague. It would have been completely understandable for him not to be able to do this. Denise is so sorely missed, she was top of the class of CT news anchors. A beautiful lady and a great journalist, so many grew up watching her in Connecticut. Cheers to Dennis too...

I've watched Denise on channel 3 all of my adult life. I used to think that Denise and Dennis were married To each other because they were so great together on air. Her legacy will go on in the people she's touched, I will miss her!

OMG NO.. I love her, I'm so so sorry to all of you at WFSB. And to her Husband and Daughter I feel her loss like a family member. Denise you always inspired me to be a better person you gave me comfort watching the news you made the horrible news feel less devastating with your kind soft voice and gentleness that just radiated from you. Denise, ive watched you since I was a baby...literally. You are an amazing woman with an amazing legacy. Very shocking.

I must say that heart attack symptoms in women are different.

Women who present with “indigestion” particularly very early in the morning and weakness is a common sign of an MI. If it sounds weird, its weird enough to get checked out and get an EKG asap.
