The most difficult problem that chatGPT faces is the accuracy of information. ChatGPT gets its info from the internet. But the internet contains both true and false information. How to differentiate one from the other?

I think people will prefer being interviewed by a real journalist like this one than talking to an AI that lacks empathy. my 2 cents. the world still needs men like this to go out there and capture the best and worst of humanity before writing about it.

Jobs like these won't be replaced for quite some time, until we make viable physical robot bodies that AIs can use to explore the world and collect or verify real-time information.

Chat GPT will be a tool used by smart humans to give ideas. People in script writing can get fresh ideas to possibly get past writers block in minutes rather than days, weeks, or sometimes months.

It will not be able to capture human creativity and heart. AI like Chat GPT It’s just a giant language database with equally large training data, and the worlds fastest processors to compare the two to get convincingly human responses. But at the end of the day the computer doesn’t really know what it’s outputting. It’s just the result of the language model and training data. Those have been done by humans.

You can ask Chatgpt to attribute its sources. Just tell it to provide links of all sources that it used, it will provide you list of the link.

To write an article that could be compared to the journalist's, i think chatGPT should have received all the same information that the journalist got when visiting the dog facility. Maybe the purpose of the video was to demonstrate that AI can't perform all the tasks that a journalist can like going out and gathering new information, but regarding writing, the purpose it is designed for, i believe it could definitely compete if it was used efficiently.

I haven't tried it yet. But i think it will be different from my ecpectation. Start from the style of language, the reporter dialect, the sensitivity and emotion of speaking etc, can it be represented by a gpt like that? I think in essay or popular writing usually need the character of what is written, not just the essence of what is written.

The way I see it is ChatGPT is an enhancement .. Not a Substitute.

What I want from a reporter is to create new information and verify it.
ChatGPT and others just reuse existing information (or even invent some).

it needs to replace alot of US journalists, our media is too biased-the clear personal opinions held by journalists and news outlets makes reading the news a negative, insufferable experience.

Chatgpt is biased on data while
Human being is biased on emotion and things they are taught to be perceived as bad.
I think this combination will give much more informative journalism.

I find it odd that with that as of 2020, people's definition of "predicting the future" has shifted to just describing what already exists and is happening right now. These conversations used to be something more like "what events could occur 5-10 years from now?" but now just coping with the present reality is basically all we can muster. ChatGPT with live information and an internet connection already exists, plugins already exist, auto-prompting already exists. It's just hard to integrate those concepts into our current reality.

i feel its meant to use to improve existing work, rather than to write something from scratch and then copy paste to submit.

AI can be eloquent yes, but it doesn't have a heart. Nothing like work written with heart, work that moves other hearts...
