Sometimes you don't want to know. I've learned as a grown-up that my father has beaten my biological mother so much she had to learn to eat, speak and function again. Doctors forced her to give up me and my older sisters, we were still babies and she only was left with my half brother, who was ten at that time. The part of my biological family who contacted me asked me not to contact him at all.

You really sometimes don't want to know. :/

To the people who somehow think that a relationship with someone's biological family negates the adopted family, stop. Just stop.

Who doesn't have friends who are like family? Does that relationship end the healthy relationship you have with your actual family? No. I am close to my bio mom, but I still love my adopted mom. Love is unlimited. In fact, the more love you give, the more you get.
