Not only 50mm is a god tier focal length but that Canon 50mm f1.8 stm shown in the video is ridiculously good for its pricing, It was one of the first lenses in my kit and it's still my most reliable lens. Shout out to my 50mm stans, we're family.

180mm or 200mm f2.8 f2 are actually very much useful for full body portraits snd even close face portraits, as well... I never thought I will be choosing it over my 85mm for portraits again and again😅 especially when full body outdoor portraits are planned...

A 55mm 1.4? Perfect for the photographer who loves the 50mm but wants to mix it up a little. Everyone has (or should have) a nice 50mm. Not everyone has a nice 55mm.

A 135mm 2.8? You wanted something longer than your 55 but shorter than your 200 super tak. And the camera shop didn't have an 85mm. So now you have the 135mm and figure you might as well go try it out, and you kind of love it. You see another 135mm 2.8 at a flea market in a foreign country and can't resist so you get a second one.

50mm Zeiss Jena: you like to live life on the edge. Rolling the dice. Maybe this is a stunning example of the sort of quality that could come out of East Germany. Maybe this is a less than stunning example. The focus ring is stiffer in one direction than the other. You wonder why a lens is striped. Still, you can't stop using it.

Super Tak: You didn't know these are radioactive. You stay up at night remembering when you stored it in your bedside table drawer for a year. You take the lens to some helpful nuclear engineers with a Geiger counter and they tell you it is above background levels but only barely. You're a little disappointed that the lens didn't make the machine beep more.

“85mm isn’t great for suggestive content because if you have a studio specifically for that you’re not gonna have enough space for a full body shot” - A friend

Nikon 60mm 2.8 is my favourite prime because it’s the one I learned with, and I love getting macro shots with less compression than the 105mm. That said, when I was shooting Sony, the 90mm was literally perfect, and if I got the opportunity to, I would switch systems again and shoot almost exclusively with it.

56mm on an apsc is god tier (headed to my first wedding shoot ever today after a year as a festival photographer)

I love 85, but I couldn’t care less about bokeh. It’s all about compression.

I don’t like 28-35mm on full frame. 45mm is ok, 50mm is god tier. 10mm is titan tier

I have a question, my camera has the basic lens 18-55 with high aperture. I need know if i put to this camera a canon lens too that has 1.8 aperture, its work? I dont know if the camera will be hardware prepaired, or changing the lens and the lens has 1.8 aperture, works. I wait your reply, thanks

How did you… wait- you got me 100% 😳 I have definitely added fake bokeh on 35mm photos AND I shoot suggestive content for a living 😳 and 85 is basically the only lens I use 😅

Ok. And what my 24/1.8, 40/1.4 and 105/1.4 do tell about me 😊?

I go 50mm and I don’t wanna try new things because my wallet won’t allow me to 🤣
