We Had Two Days In Istanbul To See As Much As Possible. Here's What We Did!

The first stop on our four-week tour of Turkey was the country's exciting capital city. But we only had two days in Istanbul to see as much as possible!

We wanted to see why so many people who have traveled to Istanbul have called it one of the greatest cities on earth and judge for ourselves whether that was true.

We hit the ground running and explored some of the most iconic destinations in the city, as well as a few hidden gems that we found about from friends who have lived in Istanbul for years.

Along our two-day Istanbul itinerary, we visited:

- Topkapi Palace
- Hagia Sophia
- A Dondurma (Turkish ice cream) vendor
- Basilica Cistern
- The Blue Mosque
- The Grand Bazaar
- A Bosphorus Strait Sunset Cruise
- Other local gems
