Setting proper base fuel pressure is critical to the performance of a high-performance engine. Understanding not just how to set it but the major fuel system components can ensure adequate fuel volume and pressure whether your engine is naturally aspirated or forced induction using a turbo or supercharger. In this video Hunter and Sam dive deep into fuel delivery, starting with the construction of an Adjustable Fuel Pressure Regulator, how to rebuild a regulator and how to properly set base fuel pressure. Everything you need to know is compiled here! Let us know of any questions you have in the comments below.

You guys make some beautiful components. I can see the quality here. Is there a fuel regulator for NA carb cars that run 6-7 Psi? And do you adjust regulator pressure with engine running or just the pump on? Thanks for sharing this video. Cheers from Motown/Dearborn.

So I’m doing a full fuel system rebuild and I want to use the high flow pump. I’m afraid it’ll make the fuel pressure too high can I use this to get my due pressure to the stock 36 psi?

Nice video thanks. Can I raise fuel pressure to have a bit more of flow on my injectors as my AEM AFR is too lean. You mention the fuel pressure should be the same as what my ECU mention? what is happening if ECU is set to 2.5 bar and I am puting the regulator pressure at 3 bars? regards

I have an F20b DOHC engine of 43.5 psi. Is it idle settings of my engine?

If you are tuning the engine based on 43.5psi, and the running engine is producing 33psi are you not "low" in that case?

If you lose or are missing vacuum could that keep the motor from running or not let it idle and die?
