Caveat: Keep your old back screws handy because the new ones may not fit. I did the exact same installation and the screws that PRS included were too small. They wouldn't bite and would fall out if turned upside down. Apparently, this is quite common as some YT content creators have warned about this and MANY commentators have had the same experience.

My locking tuners are arriving today. Once I had a guitar with locking tuners I never want to go back lol. Will be ordering a set for each of my guitars eventually.

PRS SE quite a nice guitar for the money, i think PRS SE custom24 really great choice for beginner's second guitar, lot of beginner playing strat, but want slightly fancier without bust the bank, SE way cheaper than PRS, but still got the PRS quality, especially the finish.

You gotta block the tremelo with card stock, or you're gonna scratch the top! Also you should use a socket instead of a flat wrench so you don't scratch the headstock.

PRS makes some beautiful guitars, even in their budget lines. Gibson would charge 3000 for that top alone.

The PRS se series are great guitars, for the money I like that green Zimms .

Do you have any locking tuners for a '77 Hamer Explorer or Gibson Explorer?

I just purchased a PRS SE about two weeks ago. I had it set up by the best luthier in Orlando and the open strings are all in tune. However, whenever I fret the D and G strings the notes are always sharp. I use a very light touch and they are still sharp. Do you have any thoughts on this?

I have the exact same guitar and would like to do the same thing! Do you have a link to the locking tuners that you put in by chance? Thanks!

He never lined up the back of the tuners or block the trem so it doesn't hit the body!

How do these compare to John Mann's MannMade locking tuners? Those run about $150+ (pending on finish) vs PRS at around $100.

Wow and you didn't even line up the tuners with a straight edge. This is embarrassing dude, not a good example. Y'all should watch the video from PRS on how to do this install.

Your really should have blocked off the trem bridge before removing the strings and all the tension. Also, these tuners really do need to be aligned perfectly before tightening everything down. And I would have used a socket instead of an open end wrench, less chance of scratching anything.
