It ain't easy, but it is simple. There is a step-by-step process to doing anything within the creative field when you begin trying to find clients.

I've been freelancing for the past 12 years in many fields from, photography, videography, audio engineering, and music performance, and time and time again one thing rings true... it's all the same process.

Thanks, I actually did learn something! The difference between a sample and a demo reel! Now, from what I’ve been told, lots of agents want you to have a website

Sometimes, getting too caught up in the nitty gritty of things, I tend to forget that what we do is indeed a CRAFT. I needed that reminder. Thank you

I’m not even interested in pursuing a career in voice acting, but your video was so fun to watch and informative! So glad I found your channel!

I've always dreamed of being a VA. I was a theater actor when I was younger, however, I was never really good at the exaggerated body movements required of theater. I was, however, decent at the voicing. I have a decent audio setup already, since I make youtube content as a hobby. Making content as a hobby also means I'm decent at talking and voicing stuff by myself, and I'm okay at improv since I come up with commentary on the spot in my videos. I'm also decently used to voiceovers and audio editing/technical equipment, since that is part of my hobby.

This is very good information. You start from the very beginning and build up into an actual career to show people how to get paid- you did an excellent job with this one. Shows us you know your stuff.

Not sure if you are still making videos but I love how you explain things. Could you by chance make a video going into depth about demo reels. I know you have a diy one but I guess I'm referring more to 1.) in order to open up job prospects should we prepare different reels for different types of jobs ex. One for audiobook work, one for animation, one for commercial etc?
2.) the order of thing?! Demo reel > post on sites/audition > agent or do you need an agent first? 😅. I appreciate you!

So when you are talking about building samples are we talking about just recording anything with range. I'm kinda stuck on what to make a sample.
