great review. I bought the 43" a little while back. great bang for buck. considering the quality and quantity of HDMI inputs. the two USB inputs are great TV. great blacks. got the 2.0 Sharp soundbar when I bundled for $80.

Jeff, thanks for the review. I was about to return this because was not happy w/ picture quality but your settings are great. Might have missed this in video, but does TV automatically upscale everything to 4k or is there a setting that needs to be changed?

Thanks for the review! Best Buy has this for $599, which still seems like a killer deal. I use a Sony Blu-ray player for streaming as well. Looks like a winner, especially since I watch tons of movies, and no gaming.

Thanks. I picked up one of these last Friday at Costco as they had the last one for $549. It was just too good of a deal to pass up.

I had planned on buying a 60 or 65" Vizio, but again, this was just too good of a deal not to try. I have 90 days through Costco so if for some reason I don't like it, I can take it back and exchange it but so far so good, even with the so so PQ of Uverse.

Have you played any game on this? I bought this tv last month and I tried the game mode but it sucks. I prefer dynamic mode. If you do use game mode what adjustments have you made?

Picked up this TV today and ran into a weird issue.
Picture Settings do not move between inputs.
e.g. I calibrated User Mode on Input 1 and when I go to Input 2 the settings are all back to there defaults for User Mode.
On top of that you can't edit the picture settings from within the Native Apps and the Apps seems to use the default settings of any of the picture settings.
Did I miss something or is this just a huge nuisance I'll have to deal with?
Never had your blockyness issue in Netflix btw.

any comparison of black levels to other 4k tv's, I've got a samsung 50" 4k and looking to upgrade to a 55" but I just bought (will be returning) an LG IPS 55" and the black levels where crap next to the Samsung.

That smooth motion stuff... content isn't even 60hz actually.  Film runs at 24 fps,   tv @ 30 fps.  The 60 120 240 stuff just makes guesses in between frames and artificially creates frames.  I guess it's useful for gaming, you actually would go above 30 fps while gaming.  It's all marketing.  The original format of the content typically looks better than doctored up, like you said.

OK bought this just wish it was hdr before I bought my ps4 pro but it does a damn good job lmao with 4k streaming to me atleast
