So true😭. I literally started drawing two weeks ago, but i already hate drawing faces like that.
Upd: It seems that i started quite a discussion in the replies. Let me just make this clear: I like drawing so far. I like seeing my progress, even if it's not that big. And the difficulties are the integral part of progress, so i will keep drawing.
Btw, sorry for any potential grammar mistakes, english isn't my first language.

Writing a 100, 000-word essay is an exceptionally large task that requires significant planning, time, and effort. While I can't create such a lengthy document in one response, I can help you break down the approach and structure you would need to complete such a project. Whether you’re writing a novel, an extended research paper, or an in-depth thesis, here’s how you can approach a 100k-word essay:

1. Understand the Scope and Purpose

Purpose: Understand why you're writing this essay. Is it a comprehensive research project, a dissertation, a detailed analysis of a particular topic, or an extended narrative? The purpose will help shape your approach.

Topic: Ensure that your topic can sustain a 100, 000-word essay. It needs to be broad enough to cover a significant amount of content but focused enough to remain cohesive.

2. Develop a Strong Structure

A 100, 000-word essay typically consists of multiple chapters or sections. Below is a sample structure for an extended research paper or dissertation:

Introduction (3, 000-5, 000 words): Set the stage for your essay, explaining the context, significance, objectives, and your thesis or main argument.

Literature Review (10, 000-15, 000 words): Provide a comprehensive review of existing literature related to your topic. This is particularly important in research-based essays.

Methodology (5, 000-7, 000 words): If applicable, describe your research methods, approach, and data collection techniques.

Main Body/Chapters (60, 000-70, 000 words): Divide the body into multiple chapters or sections, each addressing a specific subtopic or aspect of your main argument. These can include:

Historical background or context

Theoretical frameworks

Data analysis or case studies

Literature or textual analysis

Discussion of key findings or themes

Conclusion (5, 000-7, 000 words): Summarize the findings, restate your thesis, and reflect on the broader implications of your work. Discuss any limitations and areas for future research.

3. Break Down the Writing Process

Daily Writing Goals: To tackle a 100, 000-word essay, set a daily word count goal. If you plan to complete it in 3 months, aim for roughly 1, 100 words a day. This is manageable and helps you stay on track.

Chapter-by-Chapter Approach: Start with the introduction, and then focus on one chapter or section at a time. By breaking it down, the overall task will feel less daunting.

Writing in Phases: Begin with a rough draft, then refine each section. Don't worry about perfection at first—just focus on getting the ideas down.

4. Research Thoroughly

Extensive Reading: For a 100, 000-word essay, you'll need a significant amount of research. Collect academic articles, books, case studies, and relevant sources to support your argument.

Organize Sources: Create a system for organizing your research, whether it’s a physical filing system or a digital tool like Zotero or EndNote.

5. Start Writing

Focus on Structure First: Begin by drafting sections based on the outline. Work on one chapter at a time, and ensure each section logically follows the previous one.

Quality over Quantity: Even for a long essay, focus on delivering valuable content. Avoid filler content just to increase the word count.

Write Freely: In the early drafts, don’t focus too much on grammar or stylistic perfection. Write freely to get your ideas out and refine them later.

6. Stay Consistent

Consistency is Key: Writing a 100, 000-word essay is a marathon, not a sprint. Commit to a daily or weekly writing schedule and stick to it.

Time Management: Divide your time between research, writing, and revision. Don’t leave everything to the last minute.

7. Revise and Edit

Multiple Drafts: After completing the first draft, revise each chapter thoroughly. Focus on clarity, coherence, and structure.

Peer Feedback: Consider sharing your work with peers, colleagues, or professors for feedback. Fresh eyes can help identify areas that need improvement.

Professional Editing: If needed, hire a professional editor to help polish your work, especially if it’s for academic or professional purposes.

8. Utilize Writing Tools

Writing Software: Consider using software like Scrivener, Microsoft Word, or Google Docs. These tools help you organize large documents and track your progress.

Citation Management: Use citation tools (e.g., Zotero, EndNote) to manage references, which is crucial for a long essay.

9. Stay Motivated

Set Milestones: Breaking your work into smaller goals (e.g., completing a chapter or reaching a certain word count) helps you stay motivated.

Reward Yourself: Celebrate each milestone you reach, whether it's completing a chapter or hitting a word count goal.

10. Final Review

Overall Structure: Once you’ve written and revised the entire essay, read through it to ensure logical flow, consistency, and that your argument is fully developed.

Check for Redundancies: A long essay can sometimes lead to repetition. Ensure each part adds value and avoids unnecessary repetition.

Citations and References: Ensure all references are cited correctly and formatted properly.

Final Thoughts

Writing a 100, 000-word essay is a monumental task, but it is entirely possible with careful planning, persistence, and time management. By breaking it down into manageable sections and adhering to a consistent schedule, you’ll be able to make steady progress. Focus on quality content, thorough research, and regular revisions, and the result will be a comprehensive, well-rounded essay.
