They are very well equipped from the factory. Make sure to get 4x4 though, even if you don't use it the resale value for 2wd is awful.

One thing i like about 4runner is the 4.0 and transmission in all trim level.

Gosh 45, 000 for a sr5, I paid 25, 000 for my sr5 in 2017, I have a 2016, had 23, 000 miles on it when I purchased it. I can't believe how expensive vehicles are now. But yes best vehicle ever, I have 105, 000 miles on it, I only had to get a new battery.

#6 You can get a 3rd row seat with an SR5. I just took 7 people plus gear off road a couple weeks ago no problem and it was a blast

sr5 has a-track and will get you out of 95% of spots the trd will with its locking rear

Back in 2021, I bought a Brand New White SR5 Premium 2WD with Blackout Package and Sand/Beige Interior and 3rd Row Seating and Moonroof. It was on order and I had to wait almost 3 months but it was exactly what I wanted at the time. It looks great and I’m enjoying it but now I wish I would have gotten the 4WD instead of 2WD. My next 4Runner will be just that….a 4Runner!!!

These TRD trims are just a flex, they make little to no difference mechanically, for me, if Hp doesn’t go up, neither does my budget

Sr5 premium has been good for me. Has gotten me up the hardest local trails without issue. Unless more extreme off-roading, no need for trd pro

Resale value is much greater on the TRD pro vs any of the other models, doesn’t make sense from an options standpoint, but it is.

Don’t get an SR5. Get a TRD off road. Manual shifter, crawl control, rear e-locker.

Sr5 premium is the only one you need I agree. The trd pro is way over priced and unless your Rick crawling you will never use the extra 4x4 goodies on the pro or the fancy shocks

At minimum, you should get the 4x4 sr5. a 2WD 4runner in my opnion, is pointless and you might as well get a crossover suv that is going to be better all around.

My 2023 TRD-ORP is currently on the vessel headed to the states. At MSRP with all som3 nice perks I wanted like black out emblems, black tip, moonroof, cargo cover, weather mats, I don't want the predator steps and will take them off, also other small things.
