How did this place not get resold? If she had to abandon the house because of tax fraud the sale of the property should go to the irs. Instead lawful tax payers get ripped off and this house just goes to waste? We need to hold our government accountable for bs like this!

It was built by a couple in the early 2000s but she won it in a divorce settlement around 2015. When she ran for office she was told about $500k in back taxes. She claimed she didn't know about it and that her ex-husband had accrued that amount. She filed for bankruptcy and the home fell into foreclosure.

One thing that I will never understand is Why don't rich people or in this case banks pay for a guard to live there ???
Like they don't even have to pay that much since the job comes with free rent they can pay someone 30k a year to live there, cut the grass, keep vandals at bay, call for repair guys as soon as any leak is spotted and that easy they can maintain the value of the property.
But when the mansions are left alone and ransacked they can lose 3/4 of their value and by three time someone buys it the only thing valuable is the land and they have to demolish what's left of what once was a very beautiful place.

her ex husband helped develop the gateway area in murefreesboro. he was the restate agent who closed the deal on the land, 358 areas for 12.7 million in 1999 which which now is knows as medical center parkway and saint thomas rutherford hospital, office, retail and restaurant development stretches from Thompson Lane to West College Street, which is also known as Old Nashville Highway.

I can't believe how much damage has been done to this home. And fact is she didn't do any tax invasion her husband and her were going through a divorce and she was getting home he died before divorce was finalized and she found out all about taxes, property tax and money owed still on property.
