Emergency services put out flames early on Tuesday, June 13, in Kryvyi Rih after what officials claim was a “massive missile attack” by Russia on the central Ukrainian city.

In a video posted on Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s Telegram channel, trees and vehicles were seen completely charred and flames were extinguished in a burning building. Events in the video shared by the president were verified by a Reuters witness at the location.

During the early hours of Tuesday, air raid sirens blared across the whole of Ukraine, and the country's top military command said that air forces destroyed 10 out of 14 cruise missiles Russia launched on Ukraine and one of the four Iranian-made drones.

It was not immediately clear how many missiles hit Kryvyi Rih and where the Russia-launched drones struck their targets. (Reuters)
