Having worked in the NHS for 12 Years as a staff nurse, I can honestly say that the top and middle management needs trimming down considerably, there's too much pencil pushing and too much micro management. Its a waste of funding and all those wages need to be diverted to the frontline, I work on a 22 bedded inpatient ward and most of the time I'm the only nurse on shift with a handful of Healthcare Assistants to help me, we're meant to complete observations every 30 minutes on my ward as the patients are acutely unwell, considering this takes 5 minutes for each patient (if everything goes ok) then do the maths. thats 110 minutes to complete the observations of all patients and they're to be completed every 30 minutes. and doing all that whilst completing paper work, medication etc. I don't get the time to care for my patients the way it should be done and spend a decent amount of time with them to see how they're REALLY doing and investigate other issues. It's a shame and disheartens me and most other staff, we can't complete our job and care for our patients 100% because the work load is just too high. They'll always be a manager to complain to though about staffing issues, and that's where one of the main problems lie.

TL;DR - Cut the management down, save money pragmatically and get it on the front line where its needed. Employ a permanent admin for the rest of the menial tick box tasks, me and my colleagues don't have the time!

The very first thing is to Return it to being the National Health service and not the International Health Service.

I was taken to A&E on Boxing Day, I was seen within the minutes, had a full MOT and had excellent treatment.

My husband had a fall and the Ambulance was called, long story short they used a blanket to cover him, they wandered off without it so I ran to give it back to them only to be told we are not allowed to take them back once they've been used so you can keep it or whatever you like, What happened to them being laundered and reused, so many things a few years ago that were washed sterilised etc and could be used again are now being thrown away.

Illegal immigration is straining every NHS and council service. Particularly when money earned is sent abroad of benefits taken advantage of.

When I had a collapsed lung, the treatment I received was impeccable. Ambulance arrived in 4 minutes, I was in A&E within 15 minutes. Top notch service.

I worked in the NHS over a number of years. Many patients chose to come to London because they did not get their needs met in other parts of the country. I think there needs to be an equal standard of care in all parts of the U.K. Get rid of all the unnecessary bureaucracy and 'polytricks' and put some heart back into the system. As for GPs, bring back the family doctors and give them time to do a proper job. Not only are appointments a nightmare to get in the first place, most docs are too busy to really listen! Perhaps we can regain some of the 'Great' back in Britain, eventually after Jan 31st 🔔🙏🇬🇧

Changes that I'd like to see are for those arriving in this country to have health insurance to be seen here other than emergencies of course.
