That's a pretty good deal! It's getting to the point where a higher mileage M5 can be had for decent 540i/6 money. The best part about a cheap, high-mileage M5 is that you can daily drive it in any weather without worrying about it.

Your reaction to the cup holders working is every e39 owner when they get in another e39 and the cup holders work 😂

Here in Holland, the cheapest now is a '99 300.000km completely trashed M5, € 11.000. To get it driveble and pretty decent, you have to invest another € 10.000. The average e39 M5 is € 30.000 ($ 35.000).
So $ 7000 for this car is DIRTLY cheap man.

I bought a BMW 2000 528i with 46, 500 miles in May 2017 for $9, 000. Car in great condition, literally the car has been garaged for the last 17 years. The cup holders were broken, other than that everything is working properly. I plan to keep it for another 17 years

i think that the design of the E39 Facelift is timeless. I own a 03 Touring and it still looks futuristic and modern on the road like this one. Sexiest 5 series ever

Wow.
I bought my (UK) '99 E39 M5 for £5750 back in 2012 with 72k miles on it !!
It's now on 86k miles and I've probably spent around £2500 on it in repairs/maintanance.

That's like half of the price of similiar condition M5 in EU.
Envy those US prices, insanely cheap.

For a e39 M5 in that condition you have to pay 35000-40000$ in Norway. So annoying! Norway is not a country for car lovers :(

I don't know why you guys care too much about the OEM Nav, it's freaking old technology. I agree the current setup looks ugly, but you can go with dynavin or eonon if you want the OEM look
