A lot of people seems to miss that Onimaru (the fox in Wano) also have a Mythical Human Human Fruit. The Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Onyudo, which allows him to transform into a monk yokai.

I honestly don't care what anyone says, Gear 5's design is by far my favorite. It's clean asf, simple is best!

Gear 2 = Boost, Gear 3 = giantification, Gear 4 = Defense, Power & speed and Gear 5 = Control and combination of the previous gears. This probably is Luffy's last gear, but who knows, it might change a bit in the future.

My favorite form is 100% Gear 4 Snake Man, second easily being Gear 2. I would like to see more of Gear 5 before I properly judge where I like it, probably when we see some action of it via the up coming war arc or maybe even depending on how Luffy vs Kaido ends. I don't think Luffy's gears count as zoan transformations, especially gear 4 n 5 becuz they involve haki. I think just like how Blackbeard's is a logia fruit, but lacks intangibility, the Nika fruit only lets user have one form, but what you can do with that form is extremely versatile, like the Gorosei say it lets the user fight however they wish.

Gear 5 it's so cool, I wasn't expecting something like that, it makes sense now how luffy uses is attacks, but he was limited and needed a lot of training and hard battles to endure, in gear 5 he is limitless. I think he can do much more .

The red attacks come from his devil fruit part of being a sun god. He is indirectly activating the power of the sun

gonna be real here: luffy's powers aren't rubber, they're cartoon. he starts put as rubber, like the beginning of cartoons with Rubber Hose animations. he defies the physical laws by stretching, a thing well known in early cartoon media. then he starts really breaking the laws by mimicking mid century cartoons like Looney Toons and Tom and Jerry with the speed and blowing into the thumb to "blow up" his body parts. then you have gear fourth being modern media, mimicking characters who transform their whole bodies with strange logic/abilities, like the whole 'compress something for more speed/density that frequents in Bleach.

Gear fifth is honestly Luffy embracing the fact he's a cartoon. it's literally "I am cartoon I don't obey your laws of reality".

his fruit is literally a human fruit, and humanity's greatest strength is creativity.
