A couple of my studs were so bad I had to make cut every 6-8” along the whole length. But your little video help me, so thank you.

If you do that you should laminate a 2x4 onto the joint so it still keeps the strength of the stud

I’ll try it. Concerned what problems that may create elsewhere on my shower fixture wall - non load bearing. Having a REALLY difficult time getting things plumb, level, and square for tile. I’m a rookie glutton for punishment. 😂❤

You should always cut from the opposite side and add a shim

Fixing one slightly bowed wall ain't gonna fix the other 999 problems, new construction tip, don't make any projects shine too much, you have to blend in all the crapy work from trades that just don't give a damn anymore TRUTH

Invest in an electric planer. Shaves an 1/8 inch off every pass. And wont hurt the stud. What u did is a dirty fix and shouldn’t be posted for others to learn. Show them the right way

You just weakened a exterior wall stud doing that .Your lucky if it has the strength of a 2x2 now

This is why people should not be allowed to have tools you might as well just take it out 😂
