Noticed something listening to this (and this was WONDERFUL by the way);

I’m ADHD. For a long time I thought it was hard to motivate myself to work on things day in and day out, and before diagnosis I thought that was just me getting bored or being flighty. I’ve been paying a lot of notice to what’s going on since my diagnosis last year and you know what I found?

It’s the arbitrary I can’t motivate for.

When Simon was talking about how we goal set, the numbers by x date, especially in business, that clicked into place with this audible Thunk for me. Because while the metrics are fun, what motivates me and pushes me on is how the team I manage is doing, how the company is growing, who we’re helping, the bigger things.

I use metrics for planning campaigns and sometimes to highlight areas I need to look at… but I don’t care about them and it doesn’t get the adhd reward system up and moving at all. Figure that affects other brains too it’s just really pronounced for us.

You told my whole life experience that I'm going through to this day, I saw myself for the first time 2/12 years ago.
Thank you for making it all make sense now. I did it all from within.

the reason we humanity are what we are today is because we lived as a society, not individuals. together we survived and involved. 1 stick is easily broken, but 20 sticks is almost impossible to break.

My philosophy has always been that you can do a lot of great things with just a few simple tools, what it all comes down to is making the most out of what you have got. You have to have an inner will to get things done, you have to have a strong desire, because without your passion, your ambition, your determination and drive, nothing would be possible.

Absolutely agree with this.
It's always wonderful to hear people describe what is important in life.
Especially when they have lived their truth.
Keep up the great work.
Peace.

I agree to some extent. We have lost our sense of community. But we have also lost our sense of self; most of us live in a world full of plastic and shallow metrics by which we measure our selves and others. Have a healthier life to live longer, or to have a better quality of life for as long as we live? Some people do whatever they have to do, to live longer, even if their lives are a miserable mess. We do the same with family and society. Going through life without meaning.

Extraordinary person reading this, you are not define by your circumstance or your past. It’s not what happened to you that determines your success in life; it is how you deal with those circumstances that determines your success in life! You are strong, you are capable and practice forgiveness (Forgiveness is for you) and gratitude everyday. This will change the course of your life forever! Love you always and I believe in you wholeheartedly ✨❤️ - Nat

out of any of the coaches out there whether is leadership, business, motivation, etc, Simon is the one that i have found value in the things he has said. its not to say that the other people are bad because evryone has their favorite speaker, but i have learned more about leadership and lifestyle ideologies from him than anyone else.

I agree we should care for each other, but how long do we hold them up knowing they can't support themselves. The person holding them can become them or collapse.

don't know if i agree with that - ~ "an entire generation has to figure it all out by themselves, do it all themselves, work hard, vision, etc" -- like, you need a place to stay and you need to limit your relationships so you can figure yourself out. That needs to happen. If your identify stems from that of a group then you don't have an identity. That group isn't everlasting but you are.

For the most part I understand service and how to be my brother's keeper. For some reason to me he doesn't seem to have a full grasp of what is meant by rugged individualism. His talk was more inspiration for a socialist or Marxist. I'm an independent man who understands we're still interdependent.
If you take a towel lay it out flat in front of you. Now create several folds across the towel. Each fold is independent from the other folds you created but still part of the whole.
If we drive on the road we have to have trust that everyone of us on the road will play by the established rules. But I'm not going to give you my car or my house. If you're healthy I expect you to work like me. Yet, for those who can't I give a portion of my hard labor converted to cash to the local food bank, I'll donate good but used clothing, and I'll give to other charities because as an individual I believe I should help were I can. Like most of you if someone asks for help I'll give it if I can. But now I'm tired of writing now.
