This might be the hardest version choice I've had in a Pokemon game yet. Ceruledge looks awesome, but not having Hydreigon or Tyranitar is a gut punch.

I'm at a crossroads for me. For violet, I prefer the normal Pokémon exclusives, the uniform, and may prefer the cities. However, I am not a fan of the robotic Pokémon, and am much more fond of the ancient vibe honestly, which is a huge factor for me- probably not gonna get it for a little while, but am currently stuck on my decision

I prefer violet in almost every manner. The colours, the exclusives, the paradox Pokémon. But man, Koraidon is just so freaking cool and adorable. I don’t know what to do, I really want Violet, but I’m never gonna forgive myself if I leave Koraidon hanging😞

I want Scarlet because Sada is mommy af but I’ve liked the color purple and the dragon type are better in Violet so Violet it is.

I pinged back and forth between the two for a while but I think ultimately, I'm leaning more towards Scarlet, for the old world/nature type themes. Also, I'm really fond of my dragon types as well!

I picked violet, mainly because of Miraidon, Ceruledge, and Prof. Turo, also because of all the futuristic stuff is kinda new, we've always had ancient stuff like the fossil mons and the ones introduced in PL:A so Violet it is.

Toughest decision in a long time. Intended to pick Scarlet, bc I usually prefer ancient stuff over futurism, and I really like Koraidon, but Miraidon grew on me. Probably making a spontaneous decision once I buy the game.

I decided on Violet way back in June hahaha cos the choice for me is I always alternate the versions I get with each mainline Pokemon game (e.g. I got Let's Go Pikachu, Shield, Brilliant Diamond etc.).

Furthermore, I have played Legends: Arceus which is based on the past, so now I thought it's time to play a Pokemon game based on the future! (:

I think Violet has more appealing exclusives for me.
It's funny because my first Pokémon game was Blue when I was 10.
25 years later and I am feeling the same way.

After reading some of the comments, I’m really glad I made the decision easy on myself and just bought both versions. Did the same with Sword and Shield (last Pokémon game I played) and never regretted it

i was going to buy violet but after seeing the robot pokemon i definitely think im going to be buying scarlet

I normally have no trouble deciding on a version, and I've been playing since gen 1... But this time, has the most difficult to decision on which version to pick out of all of the generations.
I'm leaning Violet because of the exclusive and legendary pokemon difference... but at the same time I prefer the professor, the "Version Name Font", the ancient theme, the ancient paradox forms, and school uniform of Scarlet more. ITS KIND OF HARD TO PICK!!! UGHHH

I really want scarlet, but I wished he used his wheels instead of running. I love the bike mechanics on violet. hard decision for me.

My Niece is old enough where she loves playing Pokémon now, beat Shield without my help. So I gave her first choice and she said she wanted Scarlet. Sooo looks like I’m getting Violet which I am totally okay with!!
