The Worst Disasters In History

Hello everyone and welcome back to Scary Interesting and to another edition of some of the worst disasters in history. The disasters in this series seem to come in two varieties. There are those that are unavoidable, unprecedented natural disasters, and then there are those that are frustratingly, entirely preventable, if not for the people involved. It’s a shame WW1 never gets taught that much in history classes. Sure kids learn it happened and some of the countries involved, but for the most part it gets glossed over to jump right to WW2. Very few people realize just how chaotic, deadly and just nonsensical the war was for everyone involved.

The "Bud" incidents and lack of action by his superiors is a good ol boy problem and why at a certain rank pilots need to be taken out of the left seat and not allowed to remain too long with one unit. That CO needed to be court martialed out of the Air Force and lose his pension... speaks where reprimands fail.

Just a small thing about the Lily mine collapse, repeatedly it talked about the trapped men but it was actually two women and a man. Small detail I know....but important.

bro i cannot imagine the amount of anger i'd have felt if i was one of the guys in the first disaster, trapped underground, being able to most likely hear everyone looking for you, just for them to give up and leave you to die

In the 1960s in Yarmouth Nova Scotia, a large boat which was doing a circus tour burst into flames and sank at a wharf. It's a super scary Interesting story. I think you would find it interesting and so would your viewers. Your videos are always awesome! Thank you.

I was waiting for you to cover the Lily mine disaster. I remember this so clearly, as a South African it bothered and disturbed me for days. I also remember how quickly the public and media forgot about this.
