Mendeley Windows MS Word Plugin Issues in Mendeley Desktop and Mendeley Reference Manager.

Many glitches and issues with Mendeley can be solved by completely shutting down the Mendeley Desktop software or Mendeley Reference Manager, and then reopening it. Make sure to do the same for Microsoft Word if you are using the two in tandem.

If you are having an issue with the browser Mendeley, try logging out and logging back in. Alternatively, try logging in from a different web browser.

If this doesn't work, restart your computer and then try the above options again.

Uninstalling and Reinstalling The Microsoft Word Plugin
To fix issues with the Word Plugin, try uninstalling and reinstalling it. Here's how:

Open Mendeley desktop software
Make sure MS Word is completely closed
Go to the “Tools” menu at the top of your screen (on a Mac)
Choose “Uninstall MS Word Plugin”
Close and reopen Mendeley
Go back to “Tools”, select “Install MS Word Plugin”, hit OK
Open MS Word
Check the ‘references’ tab in Word to see if the plugin is working

After Elsevier acquisition Mendeley has become absolutely crap. How to destroy an app (deleted from Google Play store) and how to worsen definitely the desktop application. Please give us back the old version.

OMG Thank you very much! I have problem where my Mendeley Desktop Add-in always get deactivated whenever I close Word, but I didn't know the startup thingy work in Word, and it's there in 6:48!! Thank you very much!

Hi great video! I have an issue that you don't mention though, every time y open the plugin tab, i have to sign in and put my mendeley password, it doesn't matter that I have checked the keep me signed in box. Is there any way to always keep me signed in? Thanks!

Hii thank you for your tutorial. I got a problem with the Mendeley cite plugin in my Ms word. Every time I want to log in, it is not the original Elsevier login page that pops up instead the campus SSO login page (its really annoying). How to solve this problem? I really need original login page from Elsevier not my university SSO login page where I don't have Mendeley cloud data on them. I have tried many times to delete and event block my university cache, but it does not work. Thank you in advance.
