At 4:04 I call it the REV7, but of course, I meant the REV5 ;) Thanks for watching!

Pioneer DJ literally just answered my prayers and then some with the DDJ-REV5!
I’ve been saying for MONTHS, I hoped they would make something that’s above my adored DDJ-REV1 but under the DDJ-REV7
I already own the RANE One so I don’t need another flagship just something more professional (w/RGB lighting, XLR output etc) than my REV1. Same thought process as the DJM-S11, DJM-S7 and DJM-S5
Pioneer DJ even drooped a Magvel fader 🎚️ in it!? USB-C power and connectivity! Wow 🤩
Take My Money 💰

Good review! It's a nice controller but I am more of a decks set up DJ. I like the turntables or the CDJs. Every time a controller caught my eye and I tried it, it just feels like something is missing. This controller certainly does a lot but so does a V10 and two CDJ 3ks and Pioneer also has that new turntable that dropped... What a year for Pioneer!

At the end of the video You mean Rev 5.. still sick Controller.

This controller is dope, I'm thinking of stepping away from my turntables for this, the Rev 5 has a lot of things I need that will enhance my creativity, I just got to get use to the size of it, although it would be hard stepping away from my decks.

It might be few clubs in Las Vegas Nevada that will pick it up real soon in the up coming years, mark my words, especially for those who use both of the software. Keep up the great work, going to listen in on the share the knowledge podcast. Peace.

Excellent video as always you sir are an inspiration much love all the way from Anadarko Ok!!! Man I gotta get my hands on one of these bad boys! I Love my ddj rev1 for practice and small gigs, Ithink the rev5 will be my go to. Light weight with all those features…
It’s a no brainer for a simple mobile dj as myself!!!

Great Review, thanks for the details. It helped me stick with the Rev7 overall, but my head was turned.

Thanks for the review!
I don’t see the purpose of the REV console series except for the REV7, that is an amazing controller and is a real alternative to the scratch Djs that don’t want to carry turntables but want the same feeling. I have it for several months and I can’t do without it anymore. First I thought the REV was a series of “turntablist oriented” consoles but technically its not like that, since the REV1 and the REV5 can do the same stuff that the other respectively budget and mid/high pioneer controllers can do, (except for the stems feature, maybe) if I’m a scratch Dj I would not but them, maybe for (slightly) the same amount of money of the REV5 I would buy a rane one. But if I’m more a “mixing” Dj I would go with other kind of consoles from pioneer, because in this case REV5s layout would be a little awkward (the pitch sliders position for example). It would be interesting if pioneer released the REV5 as a budget version of the REV7, halfway between a Rane One and the Hercules, motorized platters with no displays on the jog wheels, no built in fx, to lower the price, but I guess at least for now we will not see it.

Does this controller have microphone echo?

Do the platters have the cdj 900/2000, flx10, srt100 feeling with the ball bearing or do it feel like the ddj sz

Just got Rev7 for Xmas… plugged it in. No audio drivers! Downloaded audio driver file from Pioneer DJ & installed it. Rev 7 still doesn’t work. Still reads no audio driver. Any ideas??

That or Rev 7 i personally love Ns73 it just feels right even though is a bit heavy just don't use a hard case to reduce the weight.
