Excellent stuff here, very useful! One thing in here is, unfortunately, 100% wrong.

You do *not* need or want to use a bandage before a fight. (Not in any early game fight, at least, and since this video is aimed at beginners, we can skip later-game fights). The reason is, bandages heal a chunk of health immediately, then continue to heal slowly over time. If you use it before the fight begins, you don't get any benefit from that instant heal, which wastes part of its functionality.

Rather, you want to use a bandage as soon as you can after taking damage. Bandages are very quick to apply, and even though there's a significant animation, the effect still applies even if you get interrupted before it's done. Also, unless I'm mistaken, you can apply a bandage while waiting for your stamina meter to recharge, which is a portion of time in which you have nothing else useful to do.

So your best strategy might be this: as soon as you take damage in a fight, drain your stamina meter with attacks and then apply a bandage. Then you'll be back to full health, or close to it, with fresh regen active. And you don't need to wait for the animation to complete--mash the button on your hotbar and then immediately switch back to your weapon and continue.

To be fair, using a bandage before a fight is still much better than not using one and dying, or stopping in the middle of a fight and taking six hits while fumbling around your hotbar.
